We were thrilled to have the world premiere at a top 10 best festival in the US: the Cleveland Int’l Film Festival.
It was delightful to be with so many fabulous performers, including #NinaWest, #VirginiaWest, #DrCoolEthan, #LusterDelaVirgion, #JACStringer, #JuliaApplegate & #LivGjestvang, and so many of the #West Family and #RoyalRenegades. The film had multiple sold out screenings, a terrific Q&A event on Saturday night, and an engaging film forum on Sunday with LGBT Center of Cleveland, Equality Toledo, and AMPstudy.org.
The Cleveland Plain Dealer gave the film an A+ critic’s review (apparently, such a review is remarkable, locals said – woot woot!). It’s been very fulfilling and exciting to see how KQIB has caught fire & started important and worthwhile conversations.
TEDx Talks also ran an article on their blog about KQIB.
CIFF chose KQIB as a film for a short meet-the-director series online.
And in a moment of sheer fun, we opened the newspaper weekender section to see that local celebrities appearing at the festival included us! KQIB’s director, producer, and cast…along with Twisted Sister & Crazy Joe and the Fish. Yes, KQIB was listed first — what a KICK. 🙂
